Match Making Inc. TIPS
I have registered using the Free 60 Day membership but now I want to upgrade to Full membership, how do I do it? Simple, just log in with your Free membership username and password, then go to "Modify Subscription" There is an option to"Upgrade / Renew" using your Credit Card or Paypal account.
I'm having login problems! Your username and password are case sensitive so need to be typed in with capitals where appropriate. If you log in and get referred back to the login page again, make sure your browser privacy settings are not too high. This site does use cookies which keep you logged as you navigate around the site. Setting your privacy level too high will block them. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer set to "Medium High" or lower (Go to Tools>Internet Options>Privacy)
Why can't I find many other users when I search? While our membership is growing, there will be areas with few members. To help with your search, set the parameters as wide as possible. Completing your profile will also help others find you.
Adding a photo to your profile statistically increases the number of messages you will receive by over 3 times.
I have made a subscription payment but my account has not been upgraded. Paypal can take a few minutes to send through their payment notification for the auto upgrading of your account. This is the most likely cause of any such problem. Also you will need to log out and log back in for the upgrade to be activated.
If more than 30 minutes has past and your account has not been upgraded then please check your email for a confirmation that payment has been made. It is possible that an element of the payment process had not been completed and the payment didn't go through. The presence or lack thereof of your payment confirmation email will settle this.
If your account has not been upgraded and you have confirmed that a payment has been made please forward a copy of the confirmation email to

and we can manually upgrade your account. .
How do I cancel my auto renewing membership? If you would like to cancel these automatic payments just log in to your paypal account, find your first subscription payment and check the details. You will see here an option to cancel any further payments. Your account will then run to expiry of your current paid period and then reset to a free account.
What can I do about members who keep annoying me? Use the "Report User" found in the annoying members profile. They won't be able to contact you going forward, unless you have given them contact details for outside of the site's infrastructure.
If they are persistent, please advise us via the "Contact Us" form so we can investigate and take further action where appropriate. If you feel that someone is misusing the site please email us at

Meet in a public place- If you choose to meet someone in person, arrange to meet them at a public location. Choose a well-populated site like a coffee shop or a restaurant that you are familiar with. Be sure to take along your mobile phone. In addition, it’s always a good idea to let someone know where you’ll be. Go with your instincts- When it comes to dating, think safety first. If something feels like it’s not quite right, walk away. You are responsible for your own safety in these situations, it’s vital that you make good decisions that will help keep you safe. Take it slow- Get to know the person online first, then on the phone. Ask for a photo of the person before you meet. Take your time getting to know this person at your own pace. If something doesn’t feel right, move on. Protect your identity - Don’t reveal your identity if you’re not confident that the person is worthy of your trust. Use the built in safety measures that online dating can offer to get to know the person first and then reveal information about yourself as you feel comfortable. Phone before you date - Getting to know someone over the phone gives you the best blend of anonymity, privacy and ‘social presence’ (meaning you still get a good sense of what the other person is like). Remember to use whatever privacy features your phone has to offer in order to keep your number safe. |

- Have an idea of what you’re looking for. In order to succeed at dating you’ll need to know who you are looking for and what you hope to gain out of the relationship.
- Take on a “dating” mindset- Get yourself prepared for success. Consider a new focus on looking and feeling your best. While this new focus will not find you a date in itself, it will help you to feel much more confident about yourself.
- Enjoy dating for what it is, dating. It is meeting people and socializing and spending time in the company of stimulating individuals who may or may not bring you a sparkle. The fact is, most people are interesting and while you may not be out there looking for new friends, you may well find one or two fabulous people along the way.
- Keep dating interesting and fun- A day in the life of an Entrepreneur or Business Owner is never dull. That goes for time in and out of the office. They usually know great restaurants, where to go to hear amazing music and welcome new opportunities to explore what life has to offer.

Creating your Online Profile |
|
|
|
|
Writing your online dating profile is one of the most important things you can do to be successful in online dating. After completing the basic demographic questions (age, sex, location) on the MatchMakingInc.com site you’ll be asked to create a user name. This user name will be a unique identifier that other site members will see as your “name”. By using a user name rather than your real first name, it helps ensure your personal privacy and safety. The user name you choose should not only be unique, but it also needs to be personal, interesting and somehow indicative of who you are, without being off putting, too long or a challenge to pronounce. The substance of your profile will be listed in the ‘My profile’ section. It’s usually a paragraph or two describing who you are and what you are looking for. It is here that you will be able to list information on your hobbies, interests, your work or family life, things that you think are the most interesting or engaging about yourself. Next, you can invite the person reading your profile to contact you so they might join you in doing something you just intimated you are interested in or passionate about. Lastly, take time to review your finished work and make sure to spell check it. If you’d like, you may want to consider having a friend, someone that knows you well, review your profile before you publish it on the site. |
